My journey with Times of India

Eversince I’ve understood the importance and values of media especially the newspaper, I’ve become an avid and ardent reader of the “Times Of India“.

The journey started around 10 years ago, when I would fish out around Rs. 75 (half of my monthly pocket money) to read the paper which was delivered to me a day and a half late back in Paul’s (St. Paul’s School, Darjeeling) .

Devouring each and every alphabet, every word not only cost me 2 hours of my free time but enlightened me with news, Sports, Technology, Spirituality, etc. But alas, things have changed now. 2 hours is the total time I give to reading the worlds largest selling news daily in a week!

TOI (also popularly known) is to glamour or glamour is to TOI! Apart from depressing stories of who killed whom, who stole what, what new scams been unearthed or what does Sania Mirza’s Tshirt read, the paper also contains Rakhi Sawant (the kissing escapade with who knows Mika!), excerpts from the telephonic conversation between Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai with his shirtless pic and other vague “stuffs” which has only left me spellbound and in deep agony!

I detest the paper now and can’t see a way out as I have no alternative paper at my disposal.
