Imagination

I think, I imagine. And these are always depicted as pictures and images that swirl in my mind. Sometimes they are good and sometimes they are bad.

The same goes for memories. They too are pictures and running videos in my mind. But why is it that I can only see what I had seen then, but not smell or feel the freshness in the air, the warmth in the sun; or hear the falling of the rain.

Is it because memories are just rewind+stop+play of pictures or is it because the eye is the dominant organ amongst the 5 organs.

What happens to a person who is born blind? Does he have memories?

gud one, impressed..

about the memory stuff, well movies r nothing but pictures set together, n from what I can understand the idea behind the mind is to visualize, it always does, anything U recollect, You visualize it.

n ya about the senses, from what I read, your eyes take away say 85% of the energy taken up by your sensory organs, n moreover there is a common point in the brain where these signals from different organs meet and form a relation or else you will never be able to figure if what you are hearing is being said by the same person whom you see saying something.

dude, he has to have memories, though they may not be like ours,

here is why

imagine he is say 19yrs old, n does not know what a woman is all about, her body n stuff, but the biology of his body will be such that after a point in time if he does not shagg, he will have a wet dream.
when U have a wet dream, there has to be some visualization..

u may hit the bulls eye and u may not hit the bulls eye..
such is the case.. though yr comment provokes the mind, but it still is not certain until we can ask a blind person about it.

consulting a blind man would end it all, n then we will have to close this chapter n cease to think abt it.

so I am not game for it, let us try n discuss, scratch our tiny brains..

its like this story by rabindranath tagore, this guy is crazy, a god fanatic, the sole aim in his life is to find god, after a decade or so of searching he finally finds the house where goD lives, he chooses a lucky date and everything n decides to go. he is too too happy., he enters the house, when he is about to ring the bell, he thinks if god actually stays here what will I do for the rest of my life, cuz I have been doing this day in and day out., if this is it, then wat next.

the thought scares him, he takes off his shoes so as to avoid makin any noise watsoever and runs away, from the next day onwards he is again in search of goD, n he tells himself that I can look everywhere but that one house.
