this caller is really excited about the news and also about mentioning how he felt and thought about Vaibhav (i.e., me.. !! )

so.. . if you were supposed to break this news to someone, has to be a common friend.. how and what would it be..

Happy Environment Day

It will be more difficult for your only son as the next time he runs over any man, he will be severely punished. I don’t think he’ll ever get a new driving license in Nepal. Also, ask him to behave himself when he’s drunk.

It will be difficult for you to live life as a commoner and earn money the hard way but I have a suggestion for you, write books. They will sell.

Why don’t you write a book on "The last incarnate of Vishnu - an autobiography " or "The King who destroyed his own country " or "I love my brother, I killed him ".

These are just a few, and they can get you started. Speak the truth Gyanendra, we all know your dirty secret, it’s always better to hear it from the horse’s mouth. These books will sell, and believe me Gyanendra, that money will be enough to give you a long life, and each day that you live of this life, you’ll live a life of pity and grief.

Apart from learning that Power is misused, especially on the common man (ironically it’s the common man that has given them the Power) there is another, more important, aspect that I learnt today. i.e,

As a youth we take a lot of risks but we don’t have much money; but
when we are old, we have the money but we don’t take the risks.

Rumor has it that PETA is filing a case against Vodafone for the exploitation of the pug in their recent TVC’s. [watch it]

Tweego has been complaining ever since he saw those ads. He has stopped running, playing “dog-foot-ball” with me and has started a campaign, “no barking day” on Sundays as he believes that his campaign will be noticed too and will get it’s due participation from various ‘dog owners‘ because he participated with enthusiasm on “No honking day” and “Mumbai-unplugged“. He fails to realize that even he is affected by these forms of pollution, but my words always fall on deaf ears!

Tweego is a stubborn dog and he has stopped wagging his tail. He no longer watches television or listens to the radio. That Vodafone ad and the jingle is always played on these two mediums and because of this sad plight we’ve been forced to join in. If we don’t then he sits in a corner and stares at us. Whenever I look at him, his eyes acts like a projector, continuously beaming that ad.

He can’t imagine how a dog could run with a sock in his mouth. The first time he saw it, he ran to the loo and jumped into the bath tub and demanded a bath, a bubbles bath.

Then, the dog running behind a bus! Damn the bus is too big for his size! Why is that pug running behind that bus with a tie in its mouth! Couldn’t he find a bone?
It later clicked me that they must have made that pug run a zillion times due to re-takes. I didn’t mention that because I can’t imagine what he could have done. Probably would have paid you a visit!

It’s sad seeing him like this. He’s too quiet to be a dog.

And because of this, I humbly request, please, please take the necessary permissions from Tweego the next time you make such ads. Don’t take permissions from a Man or any organization; he/they won’t understand the emotions of a dog. Tweego does, ask him. Otherwise, you’ll, probably witness the Dog form of ‘satyagraha‘ and ‘every day, a new campaign‘.

I sincerely hope that you will take the necessary steps to sort this issue out,

Mumbai has also seen another successful campaign. It was the “Mumbai Un-plug” campaign. Citizens were requested to switch off all electricity appliances for an hour on this particular day.

Seeing two successful awareness campaigns happening in the city, can trigger more awareness drives. I am listing a few down, which I believe will be as successful as the others.

• No ‘peeing’ day: There’s not a single wall in the city that can boast that ‘I haven’t been ‘pee-ed’ upon!‘
• No spitting day: ditto
• Walk on footpaths day: But for that, we need to get rid of all the hawkers, vendors, garbage who happily call these footpaths their homes.
• No Newspaper day: I am sure this will be a pain for so many people who rely on the newspaper first thing in the morning. It helps them drink their morning tea, finish with the loo, etc but above all it will help the environment. So many Trees will survive.
• No Smoking day: If this actually happens, many Mumbaikars will die of hypertension and stress!mu Many believe that Smoking is the best way to kill tension, stress, viz.
• No email day: If this happens (why should it?), it will be back to the “Morse Code” days.
• Say Hi with a smile day: Mumbai is one of the loneliest cities to live in. Saying Hi with a smile to a stranger will make so much of a difference to this reputation that Mumbai has earned.
