Children

Jan 22, 2008 Author: Vaibhav Dugar | Filed under: OBservations

Rahul is a child of 9 years and he has taught me a few things.

He is a grown up because he really doesn’t care about tomorrow or the past. He is happy and content with the present.

The other day, I gave him Five rupees (~$0.125) and he gave Rs. 2 to his parents, one to his sister, one he bought candies and shared it with his friends, the remaining one rupee he put it in his piggy bank because he likes it when the piggy rattles.

But if I am given Rs. 5, I’d want to invest it somewhere and make it Rs. 50… and from 50 to 500.
But, even then he is so happy and content.

Rahul loves cricket. And after school, he and his friends in the society play for an hour or two. A week back, he and one of his friends had a small scuffle during the game. They fought and then cried. Once the tears dried, they said sorry to each other and carried on with the game. The game finished in a draw as the ball got lost. These two walked along together talking about some show on Cartoon Network.
They fought, cried, and made up in no time. They have never heard of “ego’s”.

For Rahul, life’s simple; for me, it’s complex and complicated.
Rahul smiles, he has a really cute smile; I believe that smiling makes me more vulnerable and soft. For tough looks, one shouldn’t smile. Smiling also means that I am jobless…!

Rahul and his friends are the real grown ups.

I wish, children did rule the world. The world would be a simple place.

Grown ups always need explanations.

I

Jan 11, 2008 Author: Vaibhav Dugar | Filed under: OBservations

I have crossed the seas and climbed the highest mountains.

I have walked on water and dived into the deepest oceans.

I have faced the bitterest storms and lived in severest temperatures.

I have felt nature’s wrath cutting through my flesh

I have lost and I have won,

because
I am the storm, I am the sea,
I am the sun and the heat,
I am the wind and the earth,
I am the knowledge and the peace….

I am what I think I am.

Dogs and Man

Jan 7, 2008 Author: Vaibhav Dugar | Filed under: OBservations, ek minute : one minute

Women say that men are dogs; but there is a difference between dogs and men!

Dogs smell to determine if the person is nice, while men “see” to qualify that person as “nice“.
