Relation between Water and Civilization

Optical illusionThe world’s greatest civilizations bloomed around the great rivers of Indus-Ganges (Indus valley or the Harappan Civilization), Tigris-Euphrates (Mesopotamian Civilization) and the Nile (Egyptian Civilization).
Back then, the soil was alluvial and fertile and the waters crystal clean; but now, the soil is dying and the rivers turning black and lifeless.
Ironically, water is the base to each and every life on Earth and the “educated” person that I am; I am enjoying killing it because everything that is free is always taken for granted.
